Founded in 2012, our yearly education project SPRING SCHOLARSHIP has given writing notebooks for underpriviledged students from elementary & secondary schools in Mekong Delta and brought food and basic necessities for street children at Hòa Hảo Literacy and Soup Kitchen Program. The aim for this project is to help prevent students from skipping school and encourage them to perform well in their studies.
We would like to express our profound gratitude to the 23 donors for their wonderful contribution of nearly 930 USD . This 2017 fund is a huge success because it is surprisingly higher than previous years' although the number of donors declines dramatically from 38 (2016) to 23 (2017).
With this higher funding, we are glad to maintain the same amount of 2750 writing notebooks for 275 underprivileged students from 5 primary schools in Cai Lậy district, Tiền Giang province. We could also extend our budget to buy 200 KG of rice , 90 liters of cooking oil & 6 KG of textured soy bean protein for 96 students at Hòa Hảo Literacy and Soup Kitchen Program in Sài Gòn. Like the previous years, we are happy to have a great sponsorship from Hue Thinh Studio & Mini-lab that printed 275 gift cards for students, 6 photo plaques and 6 photo frames for schools.
